Meet Alex

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Salt and Sand Pediatric Therapy. My name is Alex and I am a NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) accredited and State of New Jersey licensed Occupational Therapist.

My goal for Salt and Sand is to empower families with the support and tools needed to help their children thrive, gain independence and grow confidently in their daily lives! I have always been drawn to working with children and helping them unlock their full potential. My approach is family - centered and is designed to make therapy fun, engaging, and most importantly, effective. I am a proud graduate from Sacred Heart University for both my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Sciences and minor in Psychology (2017) and my Master’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (2019).

Throughout my career, I have worked with children from birth to twenty-one across various settings, including early intervention services, private daycares and preschools, outpatient clinics, and school-based therapy. I have experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral difficulties, feeding difficulties and disorders, and gross and fine motor developmental delays.

When I am not working with families, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Evan and our dogs Charlie & Kona, traveling, working out on my Peloton, listening to Taylor Swift, crafting or reading a good book!

Parent Review

“Alex has been an OT for both of my kids for just over two years and she is one of a kind. Not only do my kids absolutely adore her BUT she is such an incredible therapist. Both my kids are so sharp, strong and kind because of her incredible skill paired with the massive amount of love she really provides each kid.

Picking a therapist for your kids before really getting to know them is a hard thing to do as a parent. Not only will Alex blow you out of the water with how fast she will learn your family dynamic in an effort to better help your kids. But, she is literally one of the nicest people you are ever going to meet. Im so proud of my kids but I'm equally as proud to say it's because of the effort and care they have gotten from our Miss Alex.”

Activities you can work on together

While our therapy sessions encourage your child to become more independent and master their daily activities, we also include special opportunities for you to work together. We provide home exercise plans tailored to your child’s goals, along with parent coaching and educational support. By empowering parents with the knowledge and tools to reinforce skills at home, we can create a more impactful therapy experience!
